7 Day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Tour

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL - KIGALI

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be meet by your View Africa guide for a transfer to Kigali Hotel for overnight.

Meals: Dinner (Depending on arrival)

DAY 2 – KIGALI

After breakfast your guide will take you on a Kigali city tour, including a visit to Ntarama church where almost 5000 people were killed in the church during the 1994 genocide. Learn more about the unity and reconciliation commission and visit UBURANGA Art studio, and the Genocide Memorial, appreciate the transition.

DAY 3 – KIGALI – TWIN LAKES

After breakfast, we’ll drive to the twin lakes of Rwanda, Bulera and Ruhondo. Enjoy a village walk and the option the canoe with the local fishermen on the lakes.

DAY 4 – EXPERIENCE CULTURE

Look into the Rwanda’s education by visiting local schools and participate in either teaching or play games with the children. After lunch visit Iby Iwacu Cultural Village for the cultural stories, dances and drama.

DAY 5 – GORILLA TREKKING

Awake early morning for your once in a life-time experience of tracking the endangered mountain gorillas in Volcanoes National Park. In the evening visit the Kagano community village as you get to know why the community left the park. You will be introduced to the Rwandese way of telling nighttime stories of our past and present.

DAY 6 – AKERGA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast drive to Akerga National Park for a game drive to view elephants, giraffes and antelope.

DAY 7 – KIGALI - DEPARTURE

After breakfast you’ll be transferred to Kigali for hand crafted souvenir shopping before heading to Kigali International Airport for departure.
