Uganda's Walking Safari
DAY 1 – KAMPALA – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, via crossing of the equator. With a lunch stop in Masaka, proceed to the park and arrive to take a game drive/walk in the park. Wildlife here includes; zebra, eland, topi, impala, waterbuck, hyena, jackal, the elusive leopard and many accacia savannah bird species. There are guided nature walks anywhere in Lake Mburo National park and accompanied by an armed ranger. Visitors are allowed to walk unaccompanied on the 1km stretch of road between the camp and the lake, but be on the lookout for hippo, especially in the early morning and towards dusk. Of particular interest to bird-watching its Rubanga forest, which lies off the Ruiz track.

DAY 2 – LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the park to search for more wildlife, this gives you a better opportunity to see the elusive leopard, jackals, hyenas and more zebra. Return for breakfast. After lunch take a boat cruise on Lake Mburo this gives you an opportunity to see several bird species, buffalo on the water’s edge. You’ll have the option to take a horseback riding safari, the only park in Uganda you can experience wildlife on horseback. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 –LAKE MBURO – KAMPALA
Depart the park after breakfast, and transfer to Kampala, making a stop at the equator for lunch, souvenir shopping and picture taking. Arrive Kampala in afternoon.
