DAY 1: KAMPALA - SEMULIKI WILDLIFE RESERVE

After your morning cup of coffee we will drive to Semuliki Wildlife Reserve. The drive will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert. Situated in the basin of the western Rift Valley, Semuliki is one of the parks with many habitats ranging from Riparian forests, rain forests to short and high grass savannah. It is also known for its night game drive that reward you with nocturnal dwellers like the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars, cats, hyenas, leopards and many more. This is the only place in Uganda where you can do a spot light night drive. The park generally offers lots of surprises because you never know what you might find and make it more interest.

DAY 2:  CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND NIGHT GAME DRIVE

 

Have a cup of tea to go down into the beautiful gallery rainforest to track wild chimpanzees. These are usually tracked at dawn or dusk due to the fact that these apes tend to disappear in the middle of the day.  There are also a number of bird species, which are found in this picturesque forest. Retire from the chimp search and then in the afternoon you may relax at the pool or go for a game drive as you watch the sunset.

DAY 3: SEMULIKI  - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK      

 

Game drive enroute as you depart Semuliki. The journey will take you through the attractive green countryside eventually ascending the Western Rift Valley to Fort Portal. You will then continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will reach in the late afternoon. You will go for a nature walk around the Mweya Peninsula, where you spot game like the Uganda kob, bush pigs, bush bucks, colobus monkeys and many more.

DAY 4:    KYAMBURA GORGE - KAZINGA CHANNEL BOAT CRUISE

Have breakfast to go for a forest walk in the Kyambura gorge in search for chimpanzees and other primates. Alternatively you may go for a walk in the Maramagambo forest in search for primates. You will retire from the walk for lunch at the lodge and then go for a launch cruise in the afternoon. This boat trip will reward you with game like hippo’s buffaloes and many waterbirds.

DAY 5: QUEEN ELIZABETH - KAMPALA 

In the morning before dawn you will go for a game drive in the Kasenyi track of the park as you return back to Kampala arriving early evening.
